How to restore the back up of server configuration in BusinessObjects 4.x

Symptom

  • Need to restore the back up of Server Configuration in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.x

Environment

  • SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform (BI) 4.x

Resolution

  1. Launch the Central Configuration Manager (CCM)
  1. Select the tab “Restore Server Configuration” in CCM and click on Next

  1. Provide the CMS port number and specify the CMS System Database Data Source Name

  1. Specify the Cluster Key that is mentioned in the Server Intelligence Agent properties “configuration” tab

  1. Put in the BusinessObjects Administrator user and its password
  1. Browse the location, where the backed-up Server Configuration BIAR file is located and click Next.
