How to fix Active Desktop Recovery error message in Windows XP

If you are getting the “Active Desktop Recovery” error message at Startup, then follow the below procedure:

  • Click on Start> Run > type regedit
  • Expand the following key:
  • HKEY CURRENT USER ->Software -> Microsoft – > internet Explorer -> Desktop -> SafeMODE -> components
  • Set the value of DeskHtmlVersion to 0.
  • Save your settings and close the registry.
