Learn how to find authorization object associated with a transaction code in SAP, using the SU24 and SU22 transactions.

Method 1-find authorization object.

  1. Goto Transaction SE16N
  2. Enter Table name as TSTAVT.
  3. Enter Transaction Code as ME21N
  4. Enter Language as EN
  5. Execute As Shown in below image.

Method 2-find authorization object

Authorization objects are used to control access to SAP transactions and data. Each transaction code is associated with one or more authorization objects. To find the authorization object associated with a transaction code, you can use the SU24 or SU22 transactions.

SU24

To find the authorization object associated with a transaction code using SU24, follow these steps:

  1. Enter transaction code SU24.
  2. Enter the transaction code that you want to find the authorization object for in the Transaction code field.
  3. Click the Display button.
  4. The authorization object associated with the transaction code will be displayed in the Authorization object field.

SU22

To find the authorization object associated with a transaction code using SU22, follow these steps:

  1. Enter transaction code SU22.
  2. Select the Authorization object tab.
  3. Enter the transaction code that you want to find the authorization object for in the Transaction code field.
  4. Click the Display button.
  5. The authorization object associated with the transaction code will be displayed in the Authorization object field.

Example

To find the authorization object associated with the transaction code VA01, you would follow these steps:

  1. Enter transaction code SU24.
  2. Enter VA01 in the Transaction code field.
  3. Click the Display button.
  4. The authorization object associated with VA01 will be displayed in the Authorization object field. In this case, the authorization object is S_TCODE.
